Do not criticize a poor man for what he has or what he is wearing. His main concern is to have enough food to eat and be in good health.

You may criticize a poor man, however, for his character, his morals, and his behavior, because those have nothing to do with wealth or with poverty, and many poor men not only have passed the test but have also excelled over rich men.
