Of course I watched Garage Sale Mystery 6: The Novel Murders on DIVA. It remains my favorite series. As usual, it has a refreshing cast with no pretensions, no melodramatic monologues, and no attempts at looking sexy, a solid, main plot without loopholes, and deliciously cozy subplots. The characters in this episode include a bird man, a fake psychic reader who cons senior citizens, a mystery novelist, and a Sherlock Holmes expert. Even in this sixth production we are consistently given nice clothing and jewelry, and well-dressed sets and interesting props.

There is only one thing not consistent about this series, and it is that its main characters actually DEVELOP. I am so tired of other shows in which the same expositions are given and in which the characters never change and never age.

I hope that this series goes on and on through the time that its lead becomes a great grandmother.
