Your Messenger message:

"Hi _______, "Weird dream again. Of my mom. In the dream, I in-buried her, under what seem like terra cotta scultures. She was well, not 'dead' at all, not in a coffin, just the earth--more of dried clay--and was wearing the usual pambahay dress (not pamburol). Parang nakatulog lang under terra cotta. I remember smashing the terra cotta, maliit lang, maybe a foot high, to get to her. "Might be time to study dreams? No idea how, tho. Other than keeping a dram journal and remembering."

My reply:

Hello __________!

Your dream indicates your present ambivalence toward your mother. A part of you wishes that she were already your ancient past. Another part of you wishes to excavate her, rediscover her, and know her all over again because you really don't--as is the case with other people, because, we really don't completely know anyone.

This is a normal dream. Everyone has dreams with messages like this, especially when parents happen to be particularly disappointing.
