My jeweler arrived while I was having a snack at M.'s cafe. Now wearing my much-awaited, oval ruby earrings. They are faceted and lustrous. They will eventually go to Aubrey, since ruby is her birthstone. She already has a pair of dove's blood ruby earrings, which I gave her on her birthday, but she isn't fond of wearing earrings as of now.
